Oxin in Cologne

It was delicious!

Actually, I wanted to have a nice meal last week before the lockdown ... the service was unfriendly and overwhelmed, the dishes were cold and the portions were very small. Never again!!!

We rarely give 5 stars, but it was really great here. Nice service, quick and uncomplicated. For us there was the 4 course menu. The taste is just great. Portion size perfect. Gladly again ?

The service at the table was friendly but unfortunately sluggish and quite overwhelmed. Unfortunately, professionalism looks different. The portions are out of proportion to the price. I had the "Persian griddle" and the meat was tough and fried / grilled to death. In terms of taste, the heap of vegetables that came with it was, at best, any taste. It was remarkable that in the course of the evening there was no more Kölsch in stock. Pity! Unfortunately, I can only assign one star and hope that the management knows what to do with it.

Once and never again. The service was very overwhelmed. Drinks were always forgotten and some of the service staff didn't even know what drinks were available. The portions, especially the grill pan, were very small for the price and parts of some of the dishes were already cold.

In a nutshell: the food was good, the service friendly, the concept remained a little unclear and the wine list is unfortunately full of typing errors. Overall, we got the impression that you could do a little more effort in the Oxin. Especially because of the strong competition in the southern part of the city.

Unfortunately I can't say anything good. The food was okay, but unfortunately there are some (significantly better) restaurants in the southern part of the city. However, the service was really poor. We were served unfriendly with very long waiting times. We had to wait 35 minutes (upon request) for the invoice. Here you had the feeling of not being wanted there! After the bill, we were ignored and not adopted. Definitely not again.

Very good food with a choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Convinced in taste and service. Nice restaurant perfect for a relaxing evening.

Food great, nice and courteous service, nice atmosphere

We happened to be at the Oxin for the first and last time, as our actual wish room no longer had any vacancies. The menu is clear, but makes you want to eat! We ordered mussaka and spinach with feta. This was followed by a 40min waiting time for dish no. 1, which was really delicious! Therefore 2 stars. No trace of the second dish. After 10 minutes I asked (dish 1 was almost eaten since the portions are very small). One would ask in the kitchen. Then the boss came and said that the waitress was only there for 2 days (hm!) And had made a mistake - my food would be there in 2 minutes and he would bring some bread. 7min later it was time: my companion was finished with eating and I finally got my dish, without apology or the offer of a small gesture to the house, but the bread was missing. I was finished just as quickly. The taste of my dish was okay, the portion was also very small. The first drink was ordered after it looked tasty at the neighbors - unfortunately it was only 3/4 full and tasted nothing. The same drink No. 2 was great in taste. I pointed out to the landlord / chef that an espresso on the house should be a matter of course. I also got one (!), Which unfortunately was also creepy (watery) - including a dirty saucer. And so we went back with a hole in the stomach. Pity! That was nothing.

Delicious food at fair prices! And super nice waitresses. We felt very comfortable and can heartily recommend the Oxin.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff and a pleasant, informal atmosphere. The food was really great without long waiting times. All food was great quality. Another highlight: a golden retriever with a cup around his neck collects tips.

By chance we landed at your house on November 11th and just didn't want to leave! What a warm atmosphere and great atmosphere. Many thanks for this experience :-)

Very good place with amazing food and great service

Very tasty food! Cozy ambience and very nice owner (?). It is from the outset a friendly relationship, in which honestly asked, if everything is OK. The starter plate with 12 different little things, together with the flatbread, which you unlimited, warm, get to, is a great introduction to the Persian cuisine! My main course: Lamragu, veal stew and guinea fowl was nicely done and well balanced. In addition a jug with hot mint tea in traditional Aufmache. Finally, there was the question of whether you are really fed up. I was great! Value for money is also completely fine. Only the furniture year is to complain, unstable impression and sometimes a bit broken. Conclusion: "Oxin" is the friendly Persian next door and only to be recommended. I will gladly come again!

Very nice little Persian restaurant. The menu offers few dishes, which is quite sufficient. I recommend the mezz table ... very tasty little oriental variations ... great for social gathering ?
